Meet our Pastor
Reverend Heather Brown-Huston
I am thankful most of all for the mystery of creation - found in the
world around us and in each person's unique being. Without that gift
from God, human life would not be what we know it as.
As a Christian, I
am thankful for the grace of God that I find in Jesus Christ, and the
guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I am blessed with engaging
and life-giving work as wife to Steve and mother to two small children,
as pastor to First Presbyterian Church, as a volunteer in my home
community of Port Jervis, and as a student. I have a warm and safe home,
clothes to wear (and more than one outfit to choose between!) and plenty
of food to eat. I am thankful for all those blessings, mindful that so
many in our world do not have even a fraction of what I enjoy and take
for granted each day.
